RICH heritage, very strong pedigree and clear interpretation of brief, were some of the factors considered by the management of Diamond Bank Plc, before choosing TPT International as the agency that would handle its PR account in the coming year.
Investigations carried out by Brands & Marketing revealed that the decision to shop for a PR agency to handle the image laundering job of the bank may not be unconnected with the thinking of the new team at the helms of the bank’s Corporate Communications department.
It was further learnt that the need to reinforce the bank’s re-branding exercise, inaugurated not too long ago, with the bank’s old logo giving way to a new multi-coloured one, was one of those strong factors the management of the bank was said to have considered before calling four of the nation’s frontline PR firms to pitch for the account.
TPT International was said to have emerged the preferred choice having clearly and successfully interpreted the brief the bank had earlier sent to it and the other three competing agencies -The Quadrant Company, Mediacraft Associates and C& F Portal Novelli.
The pitch, held in Lagos, about three weeks ago, was said to have gone into a second round, involving the firm and one other. TPT eventually emerged the preferred agency based on its creative direction during the pitch and its clear interpretation of the brief.
In his reactions, the Chief Consultant of TPT International, Modupe Adetokunbo, noted that the appointment offers his team the opportunity to once again partner with a futuristic and innovative bank in delivering a desirable corporate perception.
