Sterling Bank Plc has opened a new branch at Adeola Odeku, Lagos.
The structure of the new branch, according to the bank, would be the model to be adopted as it plans to build 40 similar branches across the country.
The bank’s Regional Channel Co-ordinator, Mena Sidahome, disclosed this in Lagos at the weekend, just as the commercial bank gave out a brand new Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) to Miss Homa Amadi–Nna (Trans-Amadi Branch, Port Harcourt), the star prize winner in its just concluded Savers’ promo.
Sidahome said the bank would be rebranding some of its branches in high profile locations to ensure that customers get improved service, adding that as a major player in the Nigerian financial landscape, there was need for the bank to continue to improve its physical structures.
Speaking after taking possession of the SUV, Amadi-Nna said that the bank has “by this gesture, delivered on its promises to its customers.”
She said: “I am happy and overjoyed by this gesture. The bank has kept its promises.”
Four customers won N500, 000 each while four other won N1 million. Also, 84 other customers won Home theatres and refrigerators as consolation prizes in the promo that started May last year.
Sterling Bank’s Group Head, Retail Products, Gbenga Adegoke said Amadi–Nna was one of the nine outstanding winners that won special prizes in the course of the promo. He said that as a retail bank, the bank is committed to touching the lives and businesses of its customers in special ways as well as bringing the unbanked into the financial system.
Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of the bank, Abubakar Suleiman, said Sterling Bank is taking a long-term view of its customers, to ensure that they get the best out of every single transaction. He said the bank would continue to take steps that guarantee its service to its customers.
Suleiman said that the promo presents an opportunity for prospective customers to come and subscribe to the bank’s services by opening new accounts.
