Yesterday, however soldiers from the Joint Task Force (JTF) arrested a man called Ibrahim Ibrahim in Kano, believed to be the girls’ trainer. During the arrest, they picked up 16 of his trainees too and all of them are currently undergoing interrogation.

Sources in Kano said the teenage girls were arrested when security men swooped on the place where they were being trained following a tip-off. JTF spokesman Captain Ikechukwu Eze confirmed the arrest, saying investigations were still ongoing.
