World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim will host Advisor to the U.S. President Ivanka Trump, United Arab Emirates Minister of State for International Cooperation Her Excellency Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, CEO of Dominican Republic’s Banco BHD Steven J. Puig and International Finance Corporation CEO Philippe Le Houérou for an event on women’s entrepreneurship during the WBG-IMF Annual Meetings.
The event will address ways countries and companies can empower women to become successful entrepreneurs and leaders—including through the new Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi). Three successful women entrepreneurs from developing countries will also share their stories of overcoming adversity while building their businesses: Tarjama Founder Nour Al-Hassan, Sedima Executive Director Anta Babacar Ngom Bathily, and Pahtama Group Founder Win Win Tint.
