The Federal Government of Nigeria has given in to pressures from school proprietors and agreed to reopen primary and secondary schools in the country this month; September.

The government explained that the reversal from the previous October 13 date was based on expert advice which indicated that following the containment of Ebola and strategies already put in place to curb further spread, it’s safe to reopen schools earlier than proposed.
The new date is to be announced by the Minister of Education.
